At Grace&Nest, we carefully source both nannies and household staff through trusted referrals, our professional network, parenting groups, our website, and word of mouth.
We receive hundreds of applications each year, but only about 5–6% make it through our detailed vetting process. Every candidate is thoughtfully selected to ensure they meet our high standards and are the right fit for your home.

At Grace&Nest, we take screening seriously. Each candidate goes through multiple interviews so we can truly get to know them. We personally verify all references by phone, review their online presence, and evaluate their professionalism, communication, and overall fit through each step of the process.
Our goal is to ensure you’re only introduced to trustworthy, well-qualified individuals who meet our high standards.

Rates vary based on location, duties, and each candidate’s experience, training, and expertise. Below are the average gross hourly rates for our top-tier household professionals:
Nannies:
NYC: $35–$45/hour
Outside NYC: $30–$40/hourProfessional Assistants & Chefs:
NYC: $40–$55/hour
Outside NYC: $35–$50/hour
Rates are consistent for both live-in and live-out roles. We work closely with families to ensure compensation aligns with market standards and reflects the caliber of care and service provided.

To begin your search, a non-refundable Initiation Fee of $750 is required. This fee is applied toward the final placement fee once a successful match is made.
Our standard placement fees are as follows:
Full-Time Nanny Placement: 12% of the candidate’s gross annual income
Part-Time Placement: 18% of the candidate’s gross annual income
Newborn Care Specialists / Temporary Roles: 25% of the candidate’s income for the duration of the agreement
Live-in, Multilingual, or Household Staff (Assistants, Chefs, Housekeepers): Starting at 20% of the candidate’s gross annual income
